Sierpinski Kites 2nd Grade

In my 2nd grade gifted math group, students embarked on an exciting project to create Sierpinski Kites, perfectly complementing their homeroom unit on the attributes of shapes. Throughout this unit, they explored the fascinating world of sides, angles, vertices, and the distinction between 2-D and 3-D shapes. The hands-on experience of assembling the Sierpinski Kites was both challenging and rewarding, requiring patience and perseverance. As they flew their kites, the students not only celebrated their hard work but also deepened their understanding of geometric concepts in a fun and engaging way.
